Mar 14,  · There will be no Telekon Redux Glamour, there never will be, there is not enough material, there was basically no demo's, everything was recorded with the intention to end up on the album, and not as demo source. Gary was a mega star by then, with touring etc he had no time for demo work, he went straight into the studio and recorded Telekon.

Dec 09,  · What's good to say about Gary Numan. In retrospect, EVERYTHING! Even though this release was an album or two in the wake of his classic three (Telekon being the best, in my opinion), this one offers a bit of a blend of the funkier sound to come but uniquely incorporates Numan's exotic blend of distinctive synth flourishes, unusual yet dramatic chord patternings, & memorable tracks overall/5(31).

It was Numan's first album to miss the number 1 spot since Tubeway Army 's debut album indropping out of the charts after 8 weeks. Numan very rarely performs any music from the album in concert. Some of the songs on the album (such as "Friends," "Something's in the House" and "My Shadow in Vain") formed the basis for songs that would eventually be released on Tubeway Army's debut album in , subsequently rearranged and augmented with the synthesizer-based rock sound which would become the Tubeway Army/Numan trademark.

A classic Gary Numan album that still sounds awesome nearly forty years on. A must own for all fans of analogue synthesisers. I bought this because I have lost my ‘original’ cd, but I still have the case. This new release has appalling print quality to the point where you cannot read the lyrics or notes/5().
